    Legion Condor convolut

I purchased at the SOS this legion Condor convolut. The pilot died during the war and the medals are still on the table like they ware shown during the funeral. It is a pitty the seller didn't knew the name any more.

There are some lovely medals in it:
    IC2 round 3
Spanish cross in gold juncker unmarked
    flugzeugführerabz juncker 1 type
    spange pragerbürger
    WH 4 service
    a nice spanish one
    ...

Would there be a change to find the name of this pilot...?

    Luc,

Very nice.... I am sure that it can be researched.

    Cheers,

beautiful set but I don't see how you could narrow it down a single pilot.

Wonderful set. The original owner must have died relatively early in the war if those were the extent of his awards. With 1,126 gold Spanish Crosses awarded, it might be tough to research the owner.

          Hi Luc,

Very nice! Are you sure that's an early Juncker? Looks more like an early unmarked Deumer? Any chance of a better shot?

Very Nice set Luc! Is the SA sports badge stamped with a number on the reverse left side?
Also in your post you have the Iron Cross descrived as a KC2, Should be an EKII Mate! KC is short for Ritterkreuz!!!
Best of luck in your quest and interested in if the SA has a number stamped on it? Also I would love to see all close up Obverse and Reverse!
            Kevin

What is your guess on the maker of the Pilots badge Tim?

Here are some extra pictures on request.
Someone told me that both were junckers, so I like to hear what makers they are.
                  Ofcourse it is a IC2
                  the SA badge is numbered.
This convolut was bought years ago directly from the family. I bought it at the SOS from an old man who had it already more then 40 years in his collection and because of his age he was now selling the convolut with pain in his hart.

With 1 126 spanish gold winners, it will be hard to research the name of the pilot. Perhaps with the SA number..??

Did you buy it from a German dealer?
Can we have some close-ups of the SC, please?

no, I bought it at the SOS from an old american collectioner (not a dealer).
                      Aren't the pictures clear enough?

It is a nice set Luc.

I'll always remember the sellers face, he really wasn't willing to part with this group.

                          Hi Luc,

                          Nice set.

If the guy bought it directly from the family, shouldn't he know the name? Especially if this set ment so much to him.
He also didn't get a picture from the family or docs to this medal set?

                          Regards, Thomas

I'm sure that was the buy of the show for you as that's a great grouping!

I asked several times for the name, but the old seller told me that he forgot the name. He told me that he could give me 'a' name, but not the name of the pilot of the group. He had it for more then 40 years save at his bankoffice and when I bought it at the show from him it seemed that he sold a piece of his hart. Denis was with me that moment and he also noticed his reaction. He also didn't gave me any discount, because it was the first time that he brought it to a show and it didn't had to go.

When I saw the group I was directly sold at it, I don't collect LW stuff, but this one, I loved at once.

I'm very curious about the type of medals they are, they told me that it are junckers, but Tim think this is an early unmarked Deumer.

Perhaps with the better pictures we can get the right answer.
