    Advice needed on EK1

    I have seen this EKI and wondered if it was genuine since it is somewhat unusual in that the screwback seems to have been fashioned from a coin. It is marked L/54.

        looks like a original cross. But I dont think that the coin is a wartime replacement.

              IMO a fake.
              The EK I by L/54 used a number design like Klein & Quenzer, but this one has another number design.

                there is three or more with this number design in the MFF database, Daniel you have one listed between these.

                    grueni1208 is a very experienced collector, let him be the final judge.

                    Why would anyone waste 5 marks on a repair. Based just on that I say its postwar.
