KVK 1st class w. swords screwback: L/18?

Hi all. I just got this cross as part of an auction lot. The seller had described it as marked with 'L 8' when asked by another bidder. I think it is really an L/18 marked piece, but can't find photos of another to compare. Any opinions appreciated.

Brilliant, David. Thank you. The construction, finish, and mark look very similar...Maybe some mineral oil will improve the appearance of mine. Cheers, Rob
