Steinhauer & Lück, I think it is postwar.
But wait for the experts to give their opinions.

Looks like a nice postwar S&L, can just make out the 3 o'clock and knee flaws. It will not please the purists but even these postwar productions have a place in the history of the Iron Cross, even as an example of post war capitalism in action !!!

Take a deep breath and smile.

      Cheers

Don't jump too quickly. Odds are that it IS postwar, but never hurts to be sure.

I'd like to see much closer photos.

Quite right The pics are a little too fuzzy to be sure. Detailed close ups would help in providing a positive ID.

A close up of the beading on the lower part of the three O'clock arm, also
the inner knee joint between the six and nine O'clock arms
Search the forum on S&L RK to get an idea of what you should be looking for with regards to the markers for a B type cross.

              Cheers

Based on the presence of the "bridge flaw" in the corner of the 6 and 9 o'clock arms, this is a Type "B" cross. I can't see the "dent row" in these photos, but it may be there.

I understand that this was a grouping from the family of an RK, DK and Ehrenpokal winner, who received the RK in 1943. I would certainly like to know the story of its acquisition in full.
