Thanks for posting Bill and Peter.

Peter, thanks for the PM, I will forward that information.

Bill, You and the other high end collectors are a different breed. I was told to give you this response with several smiley faces. I am just the messenger. Here is the message.

    "Bill, you should recognize this!"

Ok, that's it. I guess that is supposed to tell you something, hell I don't know. Again, I am the messenger. Now on a different note, Bill I hope to see you again, at the SOS this time. We met at the 98 MAX in passing, but we were'nt really aware that we would have much more contact years later on the internet. This time, lets have a conversation. I have a small nice gift for you. . . . . .from France. Don't you just love surprises? We are all collectors, right? Thanks again for posting!

There is something about the piece that seem familiar. I can't put my finger on it, but I will in time. Here is the first type bestowed to Major Gordon Gollob, compliments of THE IRON TIMES, Previteria, page 364. Compare it with your friend's.

Erik that is a shame. If you come to the SOS I will let you see and hold some diamonds that will make a dull man's eyes sparkle. Shame on your dad and his friend. I think I know who the owner is as my memory is getting better tonight.

Compare the reverse settings that are saw cut and not round. Scan compliments of THE IRON TIMES, page 365.

Compare the sword grips of Gollob's with the example Gary posted.

Wow, my hat is off. Gary, thank you for the pictures. I apologize for my first post, but I guess in this day and age a little dose of skepticism is not a bad thing -- 99.999% of the times. Thank you to Mr. Williamson and Mr. Stump for their posts. I appreciate their contributions to this forum; I always learn something valuable when I read their posts.
