I think the pin & catch are in question as well as the eagle & swastikas, IMHO it is a repo.

IMO it is an original known as Peltz & Lorenz manufacture, with a repaired hook. pin matches with this maker.

I think the pin is replaced and the catch is repaired. It might be a good Spanish cross after all. Don't give up on this cross wait for others opinions as well

I believe that Jacques is correct. I did some research & found a couple of examples by pletz & lorenz & this one matches up nicely with them. So much for MHO. Good badge but not as well made as some of the (well known makers) others.

It is indeed not the best manufacture compared to other manufacturers like Meybauer, Juncker or Deumer, but nevertheless that cross is quite massive.

Thanks to all who lent their expertise to my query. I always thought the cross was orginal, though it varied from most of the examples I'd seen. I had never heard of the Pletz & Lorenz firm. Did they produce many badges during the TR?
Also, what is a reasonable value on the cross.
