I've see combos like this at Tom Johnson's shop. He mainly gets things from Luftwaffe personnel. It is put together very well. Given the early spange I'd expect a schinkel cross. You can always ask Detlev if the COA is real.

IMO the spange is repro, and no doubt the cross
I may be a lone voice, so I'd love to hear what everyone else thinks
and if you like it: surely it's a bargain price for such an ultra extreme rareity!

A bit of the topic. Did you get spanges and EKs connected with a hinge? I am asking because one was offered to me a few years ago. I did not buy it however, because of total ignorance in this field. Jacques

For what it's worth, these hinged combos are offered fairly regularly on Manion's ... and seldom sell at the reasonable prices offered.
