Boxed Clasp to the EK2

Hi all, recenly tried to sell the attached clasp and box on the estand - a number of people have said it is a recent repro but I've had this in my collection for over 10 years bought from the now deceased owner of braodsword - is it possible that the clasp is good but the box is not as the clasp feels so original ?
