The red EK 2 box could be an East German box, the earlier Order of the Red Banner Labour medal came in a box similar to this, later version boxes had a recess in the base for the medal. Could this one of those boxes L 14cm W 8cm H 2.8 cm

            Kind regards,

            Marcus

PS It's early o'clock in the morning and the light gives the impression of it being orange, it is a red box.

Some of the boxes do have the white border, and vary to some lesser or greater degree.

                box

I dont think so, as you can see in the added link is there a ca 2 mm cutout made for a cross. The measures of the box is 65*110*20 mm.
http://a.domaindlx.com/Gustengg/interior.JPG. I bougt from a older estonian man for 2$ on a swedish flea-market. He had som other stuff like tinnies and vinterhelpmarks everything real, but all with a swastica on was priced from 25$ and up.

Thats better and more convincing, knock the East German box theory on the head then, so if it's not a repro, which I doubt it is because they are made to look like the more 'common' box style's.

I would suggest this would more than likely then be a private purchase box, very nice. Any other opinions ?

                  Kind regards,

                  Marcus
