    Darrell,

Dietrich needs to hide his IP address... click here: http://www.hide-my-ip.com/

Look at the yellow square, it should show your location and who you are !!

      Thank you Robert!

But I will not spend $ 30.- to see his website (and I have an Apple, too....). The interesting things I will have in my mail anyway. Like the U-Boot commander group today with the K&Q ... finally it was mentioned that this is most likely not the awarded piece. So it is official: no K&Q in 1940!

"You are having an effect!" as the sender mentioned to me!

On a final note something I do not understand. Whoever gave the order to the the guy who did the restoring work did not have the brains to say: hey look, it is known that the junkcer swastika is 9.7 mm square and the arms are 2.1 mm wide (page 65) and that INCLUDES the paint. The paint should be bone black (page 402, available in Germany) and should be thin and not shiny like a Mercedes Benz S-Class.

What is so tough that this is NOT done on a regular base? I was talking to the guy who did the Zimmermann's for a Hamburg dealer and he had no idea that there is something that needed to be looked at in regards to the paint...

If I do something I do it right, or? But maybe we are lucky that theses re-nazificators are so negligent!

          Dietrich,

Not only is the size off, but it is not symmetrical. I really started looking at the cross and saw the left arm just doesn't look right. I was also wondering about the paint but I haven't handled enough to know the difference. The paint just did not seem to match the cross. <shrug>

Are you talking about those repaired Zimmermann crosses from that burned down building? if so, whats the deal with that? How many of these crosses did they? (whoever found them) find? and was it just after the war or is it just 'now'?
