EK2 - Not sure on the maker

Hey people, ive had this ek2 a while, got it from germany.

Any ideas on the maker?

I'm going for a '76' but I'm not 100% sure, the die flaws on the top are throwing me.

Adrian , i just compared with my marked 76 & cant make a perfect match , but like you , those die flaws are throwing me too

To be honest Mark, I'm still not convinced in my own mind but I've attached a pic of my '76' with some arrows to point out the details that I think match.
The bottom two arrows point to specific beads that I think are the same and the the top arrow points to the corner where I can pick out another beading similarity, there are two short beads on the vertical which butt up against the first bead on the horizontal.
It's not the best comparison but if the EK is a '76' I would suggest mine is an early manufacture and James' is later based upon the beading lacking crispness and of course the die flaw.

I feel pretty comfortable with the '76' myself. Adrian is right, the earlier cross would show no flaws.
