    Honour roll clasp for opinions

    Hi guys,

What is your thought regarding this honour roll clasp? I could lift the things from the ribbon but was unable to take a picture. The swas itself was massive.

    Kind regards,
    Giel

    Hello

I'm not certain on this one owing to what appears to be black paint in the groves on the swastika. My understanding, (and of course I could be wrong on this), is that none of the original WW2 made pieces had paint on the swastika, and this trait is only seen on post reproductions. If I've got this wrong hopefully someone will correct me.

    Regards
    David

      Hello David,

Thanks for your reply. I personally believe that the black paint you refer to is just dirt. Maybe in this case it would have a chance?
      Kind regards,
      Giel

Here's mine, not a close up but I have looked at it under a loupe and they look identical, I think yours is good.

              Hello Giel

If what appears like black paint in your photo is in fact dirt, then yes, this one would be a good clasp by Klein of Hanau. If, however, it turns out that it is black paint then I stand by my comments in my earlier post.

Have you tried to dislodge the dirt with, say, a toothbrush?

              Regards
              David
