Yes, period Jon, it is from a Panzer Jaeger, these were given out to the Divisions. Go look at the entire group on e stand in paper so you can see for yourself what the entire book looks like. If you need any close ups Ill make them for you on the spange. That part of the book includes shields , ABZs and the crosses you see.

                      just one observation:

does that mean the short wing spange would have a wing span (wing tip to wing tip) of 3.1cm or 1.2inches, the same length of the ribbon width? and that the 1939 box should have a downward angle of 45 degrees to fit into the ribbon fold into the ring?

                      just some quick observations.

                        what date is the book?
and yes, the unknown maker and L/18 was for sure a wartime maker!
                        regards

there is no date inside, but from docs in grouping i would say 43

I have a Bar that is 1.2 inches and has the 45 cut box. The wing tips are also just off straight. The book was produced in the early years of the War, mine is dated 28 May 1942. The badges shown are at the latest 1940, thus one can assume that the book was printed late 1940. Interestingly it shows the Spanishtype wound badge as the 1939 wound badge.
