One thing though, if this set is going to be for sale at one point, remember to mention the restored case

When I say restored, I don't talk about the typical US "Pfuschwerk" in this branch. I'm talking about professional work with original parts.
All this has to do with RESPECT. Unfortunately the world is full of ignorants, kids in mind and idiots, who are destroying a lot of treasures with their tiny or fat asses easily.

Get a grip on yourself! The case he took the time and effort to restore, probably wasn't worth the price of professional restoration. He did a good job restoring it to displayable condition, and it certainly doesn't merit the nonsensical and over-reactive response above.
Good work, Don.
Cheers,
Bob.I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous.....

Great job Don for the restoration.
but from my experience as a fossil collector, i wonder if the use of water-based PVA glue (very often used to repair fossils), would be a much better choice than super glue.
while a water-based PVA glue might take slightly longer to try, it would not damage the paper based box that much as opposed to solvent super glue.
PVA glue is also transparent when dried up and equally as strong in my opinion.
just my 2 cents.

Obviously to you it applies only for historic arctifacts, not for other members...
I think he did a good job on the case.
The case "useless" the way it was, now it looks like a good case again.
Not an item you would spend a fortune on, like a '62 Citroen or a '69 Mustang...
If that is your opinion, fine, but it would have been better to keep it to yourself in this case, or post it in a RESPECTFULL way.
