Dietrich, the Grand Cross is in fact a Juncker L/12 800. Thank you very much for the help when I was contemplating the purchase. I would not have been brave enough to go ahead without an expert opinion. I ended up finding out about the cross when my purchase of Juncker KC went awry.
The cross wiped out a considerable portion of my collecting budget, but it was worth it. It is a very impressive piece in hand, by size and weight. Though it is not a bravery award, but almost a political award, to me it is still a very important part of the iron cross family. Thanks again Dietrich.
I did finally get your book for Cristmas, it has become my KC collecting bible, I read and re-read it daily.

Oh, I did not want you to praise me. Honestly not! I like to help.

I just thought - based on the quietness - that it might be worth while to point out that the pictures shows a Grand Cross (and not a dipping ring fake ...).

          Wolfgang,

A very touching story and an impressive “Canadian” collection.
          Thanks for showing.

That must be post 16 if I am not wrong.
Look at how the ring of the cross "goes down" in the frame, there fore the dipping ring.

Sorry about your lost last year. The good thing that you must be happy about is that you got to know more about him before it was "too late".

Wow , what an amazing collection you have .
Some people start of small and work their way towards larger more expensive pieces .
If this is the case with you , whats next .
                                Hitlers car , a tank . Lol . Only kidding .
You have chosen your pieces wisely .
                                Good luck
