    Help With EK2

I scored this less than mint piece today from an indirect vet pick up. It's in rough shape but I picked it up out of curiosity. There is a mark on it but I can't make it out. Does anyone know the maker? Looks like this one saw poor storage or moisture.

Here's the mark. It looks like 86 or maybe 66, can't tell really.

Well, here's a "66" to compare it to.

Thanks George, but I still can't tell. Does any one else have any opinions on this one? I have to make up my mind if I'm keeping it.

                  Hi Steve,
I'm going to stick my neck out on this one and say I think it is a '24'. Can you post a closer shot of the makers mark please?

That's about as close as the camera can get I'm afraid. Now how should these marks be read? If you look at it from theoutside of the rfing, the first number does look like a 2. This one never really looked like a wide frame, which usually are pretty easy to spot. Maybe it is though.

the frame seems to be wide. I think 24 might be a good guess

Here are some 24s to compare it with.
                          First one, obverse.
