1939 EK2 Manufacturers Question?

Were all makers of Third Reich Awards authorized to produce the 1939 EK2 or did the LDO awarded only certain manufacturers specific contracts to make a particular award? The reason I ask is that I am considering narrowing my WWII German collecting down to only 1939 EK2 (due to cost and the fact that I am partial to this award) and I would like to collect one cross from each maker who produced them. Is this is an obtainable ideal or am I chasing windmills?

John, I am trying to collect an EKII from every maker and I know of a couple of others doing the same. I think it is possible, but what has made it enjoyable is the hunt. Coming across a maker or a mark not previously identified or discussed is pretty thrilling.

Now if you come across a "2" or "L/12" they are fake and you can send them to me to add to my fake marked EKII's. Just kidding!!

Thanks for the replies and the lists. I know what you mean Greg when you say for the “thrill of the hunt”. I used to like buying incomplete medal bars then attempt to find the missing piece, but the novelty has worn off over the years. Hey, thanks for the heads-up on the marks of "2" & "L/12". Do me a favor and take look at this mark and tell me what you think… I believe it may be one of those infamous “2” you mentioned , if so send me your address and it will be there in a day or so…
