        Hello there,

I don't trust these but I will say that looks like a similar style catch found on Zimmerman DK's.

The first L/52 without swords I've seen and the first 900 mark on any kvk1 too.....?

On the other hand the L/XX marked crosses are the privately purchased pieces. Maybe someone was so happy about the kvk1 that he/she had Zimmermann to do a special silver version, no idea.

or quite perhaps the recipient of the RK des KvK, but once again, evaluate the item and not the story.

                Chris,

                You're in Europe now?

......and how do you know this one is real?

                  L/52

                  Hi William,

There are a few rare versions of 3R awards. This is one. There are one or two around....but you wont see them often.

The KvK without swords was often a poor quality piece (very unimpressive).....perfectly normal for a higher quality example to have been offered on the market.

I know, William but in this case I'm making up the story

                    Anyway, interesting piece for sure.

.....and according to Chris you're spot on and have solid logic.
