    ribbing question

I have an ek2 unmarked, it is 3 piece construction. the question comes in that on the bottom of the frame on the ribbing there is a very small lines running 90degrees to the ribbing only on the bottom part of the fram just below the 1939. you almost need a loop to see clearly. but you can notice with the bare eye if you look close. has any one seen this before?

Lines like you describe are frequently seen on EKs. The most accepted theory to explain them is that they were caused by cracks in the dies used to make the frames.
