I see now that these all appear to be made to the same standard, with no real variation from piece to piece.

Still, no one has every come across an L/19 with a magnetic or iron core?

I believe that L/19's were painted after assembly as a lot out there have paint on the frame and I have never seen a ferrous core on an original.

Boy, you went way back for this one, but it is a good one. I've never seen a L/19 with a ferrous core either. Just curious, has anyone ever seen a K&Q with a copper core?

Bill, everything one needs to see is in those photos. I hate it when people can't even be bothered to give an opinion. Why are we here if not to talk about the merits and detractors of various pieces? If the other forums got half the traffic of the kneipe this would be a better place.

ps. I still think it is a cast fake. The details on the front are soft ad the reverse is bad. Look at the "waviness" of it and the nubs where the reverse set up should be.
