          Old Friend !

Bodo and I were old friends. I first met him in 1973, and I visited him many times at his home & also at various RKT meetings. I was honored when he wrote the foreword for my book "Tank Killers". His medals & documents were fantastic ! He was a true Gentleman & I miss him. Tom

I was lucky enough to have seen and handled this group personally. It is one of the two best groupuings I have ever seen. The best part for me was his tunic with the four TDB period applied. In the pocket was a sigarett butt from the period, Apparently he was a heave smoker. I which I could afford it. Jacques

He was a very friendly guy and of course became famous post war as a Proffessor of Archaeology,

                    cheers

yes Paul. I never met Bodo in person, except for a small correspondence and signed picture, but a few friends of mine did. Even at high age Bodo was sharp as a knife and a friendly person.

Shortly after his death, Detlev Niemann got the (complete) grouping from the family of Bodo Spranz. It soon ended up in a high end collection on a southern continent. It then went to germany indeed.
