non-magnetic one piece schinkel ek1

Got this one yesterday from a good friend who aquired itdirectly from the recipients relatives.

This group contained 2 one-piece schinkels, the other one was magnetic.
I have always been very sceptical about non-magnetic schinkel ek1, but this one is 100% good

I was pu toff by the weight though, it puts a whopping 22.4 gr. on the scale!
(magnetic counterpart is only 17.1 gr. at about the same thickness)

Hinge and needle are quite similar, but the hook is made from brass wire on the non-magnetic piece

It's definitive an original Schinkel EK I.
There are Schinkel EK II's by the same maker, too.
They are one piec and non-magnetic, too.

Thank you Grueni, but I was aware of that already.
They even come in a thick and a thin version.
Odd thing was that I had not seen a magnetic one piece ek2 or a non-magnetic ek1 before.
(At least, not one that I believed in)
