      Yes!

Not much to do with Crosses but I have the owner's manual, sales slip, repair booklet..the block, transmission and all body parts represent the same #......I have identified the orig. owner, dealer and 'reason' for the options ordered. It all comes down to the 'history' and not the one time feeling of 'I'd like that'!

              schloss klessheim

I have three Eagle Order items which came from the castle. No cartons included. I acquired the Order First Class w/star and sash (case approx 8"x10", also one cased lst stufe w/swords, and onother cased lst stufe w/o swords.) Acquired from US captain in artillery w/ 15th Corps.
Also copy of letter written on Fuhrer stationery dated 8 May 1945, from a fellow artillery captain named Kroom which I quote a couple lines: "A couple days ago, I went through one of Hitler's palaces- not the one at Berchtesgaden, but an old Hapsburg palace that he took over.... We were nearly the first soldiers in the place. We went snooping in the cellar and came across two storage rooms. One was nearly filled with medals, of which I have a few choice ones...."

                  Klessheim Hits

The four veteran hits I had with Schloss Klessheim items were indeed with the outer boxes on the two KCs, but not on the eagle orders. The Oak Leaves box was without outer box. My 3 RKs KVKs were also without outer boxes.

                    Schloss Klessheim Grand Crosses

                    Hello all,
Were any '39 Grand Crosses found in cases (similar to the RK KVK cases) at the Schloss Klessheim, and if so, does anyone know if any pics are out there?
