Here is a list of items found in the recent Deschler hoard which I have been able to confirm with my 'own two eyes'. At the German shows today you can find large quantities of the following on Weitze's, Husken's, and Winkler's tables to include the most recent Hermann Historica auction:
KVK 1st Class w/swords in case and carton.
KVK 1st Class w/o swords in Deschler marked case and carton.
Both 1st Class crosses are available without case in tissue wrap.
KVK 2nd Class w/swords in tissue wrap and envelope.
KVK 2nd Class w/o swords in tissue wrap and envelope.
WMM with tissue wrap and envelope.
Mother's Cross in bronze, silver, and gold.
All of the above can still be purchased in 'bulk' still wrapped by the dozen in original Deschler factory shipping cartons.
Rumored to be in the hoard but have been unable to confirm:
German Cross in Gold.
EK1s
Heeresbergfuhrer badges.

Or just "attic stash" gossip.....
This is not gossip, Herr Weitze extensively photographed the items as they were found in 'storage' before he purchased the 'hoard'. I have seen the pictures and they are quite remarkable. The evidence is imperical and leave no room for 'second-guessing'.
I cannot however, speak for the Niemann, Husken, Winkler lots as I have no knowledge of their source.

Deschler DKIG
This has been quite an amazing thread..indicative of the hopes among many collectors of some great stash of rare awards yet to be sold. That said, in my recent correspondance with Kai Winkler he has stated that he knows of NO such hoard of Deschler DKIG recently purchased or sold, and believes it simply to be an apocraphyl tale to make the large amount Deschler KVKs that are available on the market all the more appealing. Whether or not Kai is correct in his comments or beliefs I cannot say (and he may not wish to be accurate); of what I am certain is that few dealers in the United States could afford to pony up or acquire a loan for such a large amount of money to purchase a stash of rare DKIG if indeed offered. If such a large purchase was made, the few suspected capable dealers in the United States would be a narrow list and thus offers a clue as to who may have the items in their possession.

I'm concerned with finding 'one' Deschler EKI from this horde, and have found none yet. Maybe at the SOS. But, I have found these packeted mint Deschler EKII's popping up here and there. Today, one more surfaced. I'm assuming these came from the same find, crosses and packets in near to mint condition. Age has tarnished them just a little, but they remain in untouched condition.
