    Hi guys Thanks in advance for all of the help! What do you think of this Iron Cross ,It looks ok but is it??

                IS it OK??? I have NO experance at all with these. The front looks good to me but don't have a clue about the back or screw

                  I don't have an "L/55" to compare it to, but it doesn't look like any fake that I'm aware of. In fact, I think it looks nice.
                  Anybody else?

                    I just got my copy of Gordons new book but it does not have a photo of a L/55 in it eather

                      No, but he has "L/55" listed as an EK 1 maker on page 153 --although that weight is probably for a pinback.

                        The pin to keep it from spinning looks a little strange, but other then that it looks fine to me. The red maker stamp on the case is also strange, but I'm not sure if that is cause for alarm. I'd need to see these in person, but from the pics it looks ok to me.

                            Could we see a larger picture of the core, particularly showing the beading where it meets the swastika?

                              The retaining pin is unusual but doesn't by itself make this cross bad, IMO.
                              Here's a similar ""clunky" one on an unmarked EK 1 Spange.
