Wide Frame

Hello Basmo,

It does indeed appear to have a wide frame although it would be easier to tell if compared with another EKII. As the "wide frame" EKII is a #24 try comparing yours to one of those in the reference section. In case it's not clear the "wide" part refers to the width of the frame outside the beading, not the entire width of the EKII.

Another option is to do a search on my old threads. I am sure I have posted a wide frame EKII before. Recently an unmarked one in fact.

thanks again stu i will du that. i have a marked mm24 here but the are not the same......sombody told me that there ar more makers of wide frames. not only the mm24. is that so?

I would give it a as a '24'.

I've got a 93 that has just as wide a frame as a 24.

Yes, as Steve has mentioned there are a couple others with wider than average frames although 24 is the one most often encountered I think. I found that thread of mine. I believe it is an unmarked 24. Here is the link.

Let me know how it compares. Some variations will exist due to die wear over time but hopefuly there will be enough similarities to make a determination.

did the homework but.....

thanks stu, the measures are the same. but the hing is different, ass well the 1813 on the unmarked is higher, the frame looks thikker? and those diffrents are the same with my marked 24mm. my marked 24mm looks the same ase your mm24 on the picture. still you all could be right
