hmmm... lets see... I know!!! Phil was getting ready to sell these on Ebay as "special relics found in the burned down Reich Chancellory building", a-la Major Snyder. Right?
You must be psychic!
This post refers to previous post:
"Spange zum EK 1. m. Etui Good or No?"
Prosper was kind enough to post pictures for
me, as for some reason I cannot now post
atachments.
OK:
Vadim, I Was going to pair this with a battle damaged
falschirm medic generals chrome plated M38, with
a genuine Junker RK welded to the front, but you have
spoiled my game!! Fie!!!
Purchased this piece from a quadraplegic gentleman
collector in the U.K. some years back. Seems that
while in Singapore with the forces, many years ago,
a motorist mistook him for a speed bump, resulting
in grave injuries.
(It is unknown if the motorist was a customer of his.)
Actually feel that this gentleman is owed somewhat
of a debt of gratitude, for one learns best from ones
mistakes - just hoping that my modest collection
is not too riddled with fakeronis, and that I do not
then learn TOO MUCH!!
Best Regards,
Phil

It is only now fair that I post pictures of the
(provenance included) battle damaged

YES, it is from the Chancellory fire!!
Unfortunately my picture posting privileges seem
to have been suspended - and now I am identified
as a 'Senior Member' - guess what is happening
here is a 'senior moment'.... or the nefarious ruse
of the International Anti-3. Reich Cartel, ex of
their hideaway in the Argentinian Alps... hmmmmm!!
Seems that the general (name provided in the
papers of provenance, with photo albums and
all of his award documents - the uniforms do
smell, yet, of the smoke!) was commanding two
companies who were stripping lead from the
burning roof, for the war effort - a valiant job
that earned him his swords.
The effects of Majorgeneral Hardone are especially
interesting as they contain items connected with
the Lebenborn mission of which MG Hardone was a
driving force. As you cogniscenti will recall, Herr
General was intimately involved with the 'Weidergabe'
unit - this does explain why his uniforms and effects
are so marked!
As the general was intensely acquisitive in his habits
(and it is rumoured that occasionally in his cups he
was wont to wear a habit) we have seventeen of
his personal warehouses to dispose of, full to the
highest quality guaranteed with provenance, family
statements and certificates of authenticity, the best
of 'pre-owned' regalia. A certain 'Jeeves' or 'Jarviss'
fellow would know best here.
Unfortunately, Snyders Treasure now owns this
piece, (the helmet) and I will shortly be moving to a
villa in the south of France (Camargue) with the proceeds,
simply to serve the collecting community better.
For a fee, I CAN obtain irrefutable notarized evidence that
this is all true, upon my sainted mother!
Trust me,
