I'm quite surprised at how solid this cross feels. Seems much more substantial than any of my other EKI.

It's an original Deschler EK I with distinctive Deschler frame and hinge and pin system.

A wonderful collectible, Stu! You were really on your toes to catch this one! Really tough to find in any condition. You did great! I've got a nice surprise coming soon too.

I'll trade you my two Deschler EKII's for it. No, I can't - Rick found for me my first, and I will never sell that one!

                  Great find Stu,
                  Robert

                    Hello there,

                    Deschler's are rather rare IMO.

The first thing I noticed when I held my first Deschler was the weight difference, it's heft compared to other EK's. They really are a 'stand-out' amongst the EK family. I was very lucky to find one of the nicest EKII's I had seen, one morning on Weitze's update, a near mint Deschler with original packet...

                              Hi!

All these crosses are so beautifully that i've forgotten to breath for a while.

Stu, Grüni, Robert and Ben...congratulation of me for all these beautiful crosses and thanks a lot for showing.
When i read Roberts description of the beautiful feeling when he had his first Deschler in his hands i got goose skin and i hope to find a Deschler for my collection.

The unmarked Deschler round 3 from Ben is a absolutely hardore drug overdose for any EK-Freak. I must have such a piece and all the others too.

Robert talked about the high weight.
Can anyone of you post the data of an Deschler EK 2 (High, Width, thickness, and naturally the weight)?
That's very interesting for me because i want to have much informations when somebody wants to sell a Deschler.
The data of the EK 1st Class are naturally very interesting too.

No more words for this christmas-easter Thread.

                              Regards
                              Andreas
