    Allach Knight's Cross Cup

I know it's only related to crosses but I've just purchased this from the original owner's family. There is a very similar cup on sale by Jamie Cross at present.

        'Allach' cup

This may have come from the veteran's family, but I don't think it was made by the SS run Allach company. Allach used several marks but I've never seen this combination on an original piece. The overall decoration and quality does not look like Allach to me, either.
Any comments from other Allach collectors?

          identical

I've the same that was left after by the german in france (supposely) after the defeat.
One week ago one was proposed on ebay (reserve was 1200$), I had some exchange with the owner and he told me that it was in the family since 1943.
His grand father was a nazi from the foreign office and the cup was given to him by the mother of the KC holder which was living in the near house. That's the story that I've been tld. Is it true or not, but it was the 3rd identical cup I've seen with the same marking.
          Here a photo of mime

Phillipe, thankyou. Could you post an image of the maker's mark on your cup.

            Cheers, Glenn.

              Interesting...

I have some Allach porzelain (two matched vases) and the runes and maker's marks are different - especially the "allach". Never seen a capitalized "ALLACH" before, but my experience is limited.

I've emailed Jamie Cross about the one on his site which has the same maker mark as mine and he is happy that his has come from an estate and in his experience of Allach is correct.

I'll try to find back the ebay cup

                      FIVE ALLACH MARKINGS

According to the pioneer Allach collector Tony L. Oliver, in his 1973 book SS PORCELAIN ALLACH, only five typical Allach factory marking were used in the 10 year history of the porcelain factory. Here are those markings. Everyone will see the true picture concerning the Iron Cross Cup.
