          Hi Richard,
It looks like a beautiful Juncker to me! Great patina on frames and core!

Very nice cross indeed, but the loop has been replaced IMO.

              sincerely

Nice original cross, with the smooth early paint-job

Kevin, The loop may have been replaced, I do not know. I saw that you have started a thread on Juncker loops. This loop is 1.6 mm thick and the 800 mark on it is too worn to get into forensics. I have access to two S&L RK's, one early and a later flawed example, and a check showed their thickness was the same. So it is a possibility that this has an S&L loop on it for whatever reason. Another far more experienced member also thinks that may be the case. Thanks for the observation. I am happy with this one.

The reason I started the thread is because of the fact it is important to me a KC comes with the correct loop. You have a wonderfull cross for sure. It could have had oaks or O&S on it in the past. Who knows.
The diameter of a S&L loop is within the same diameter as the Juncker loops.

Might have had Oakleaves or above attached at some time, who knows ?

                        Nice cross !

                        (looking for early K & Q RK)
