      Mark,

I think I have to agree with Seigfried.
      I don't like it either...

Im still left undecided here . 2 for 2 against , at this moment i have a patch and a ******163;250 ($500) dent in my wallet and no real answers . Please put me out my misery or tell me that im not in the wrong game (collecting).
I mean i have +30 medals which look to new to have been issued 63 years ago . If genuine , Does something which has been kept in mint condition forfeit its right as genuine because its too new looking .
If its a fake say so , the quicker i know the quicker i can contact the seller .

As far as i'm concerned the badge that you bought is bad. Any Dk in cloth that has the starburst area stitched horizontally like that rather than from the inside to the out has no chance. I would agree that it looks like a recently made in Pakistan badge.

Hi Mark, I am sorry, but please try and get your money back. I don't like it one bit and for all the reasons already stated.

            Cheers, Ade.

Do you know who the dealer is and is TR militaria what he deals in. There are alot of very dodgy goings on in this field of collecting in our neck of the woods. There are a number of people flooding the market with fakes up here and trying to pass them as original, have been doing so for years, many operating out of markets and at antique fairs. I have no clue on these cloth items but if this is correct then is £250 not very cheap for something in this good condition. Hope it works out for you.

This is not a good version IMHO.

Thanks guys for the bad news. As you can imagine im pretty gutted , today i finally spoke to the seller and he swears blind its original . I had a hard time convincing him of the help i have here in verifying this type of stuff but he is being stubborn .
I tried to say to him that if i was to sell it to someone else and tell them i bought it direct form a vet then they would have to take my word on it just like he did when he bought it.
He then preceded to tell me to split the back apart and see if theres a RZM label inside. I obviously didnt as i reckon that would be his reason for not taking it back...
Now he has come round a bit and said he will take it back and give me other goods in exchange. Which im assuming will have their prices hiked before i see them....
My opinion is that if i already bought one fake from him , then why should i have to take any of his goods in exchange.....
I have tried to pass this thread onto one of his associates so he can see what i am talking about and then maybe pass on his opinion to the seller but heres hoping.

Again guys , thanks for all your help .....Its appreciated. Bad news or not....

If he swears blind that it's original then he shouldn't have any probs taking it back should he? Did you ask him about his returns policy before you shelled out for this (and did you pay cash)? You should tell him you want your money back - end of story.

Well its been 4 months since i bought this piece and i had arranged to go see the seller at the next available fair but it never happened so ive been in limbo and out of pocket all this time .
Whwn cleaning out my work bag on wednesday i came across the list of all the dates the antique fair is on and lo and behold he will be there this weekend. Tomorrow i will take a copy of this thread to show him and hopefully all will be resolved, obviously if there are any other opinions anyone would like to add then feel free .
Thanks for all the original advice...MArk

                        Good luck "Stomper",

Hope you get you money back, as that's one of the worst fakes I've seen in a long time!
