mm67 ek2 in need of TLC

    Guys,

Does anyone have any suggestions as to better preserving this cross? Should I leave it as is? I purchased this one from e-stand in the same condition as it is now just to hold a K&Q in my hands and to study the beading, date etc.

            I'd leave this 65 as-is.

Boy, that thread title had me wondering!

There are a couple different pre-45 cores to the 65 K&Q EKII. Here's an example of the two different dates...

I say leave it alone, do not attempt to paint the core, and polish the frame

Thanks to everyone for the advice and core pictures. I would never consider painting the core on this cross or polishing it. My main concern are the small flecks of rust on the cross and just trying to ensure that the rust does not spread. Thanks again to Robert for the pictures and information about mm65 cores.

Remember, James, these are '65' crosses.

OOPS!! That'll teach me not to drink and post! Of course I meant mm 65. Thanks for noticing Robert and Hank. Any suggestions on the small rust areas of the cross? Wow, I didn't expect my 500th post to be so embarrassing!

If you want to alter it I will trade you a slightly better condition mark 25 ek2.
