It looks like the ring is resolderd.

      Best regards,

        George,

Ek 2 What Do You Think

          Hi George:
Looks like the front and back cores are different to me. I'm looking at the curley 3 & 9's different between front and rear IMHO. Don't have a clue on the maker

Reverse ring. (The obverse is not attached.)

The frame is loosely put together....

Finally, the maker mark on the (open) ring. (Yes, it's "L/58".)

L/58? George, this cross doesn't resemble a Souval in the least. What do you think? The inside frame corners, the outside corners, etc. are something completely different.????

As the ribbon ring doesn't appear to be a continuous loop, there is a gap in it, could it be possible this is a cross that was damaged and someone has made an attempt to repair it using parts from another cross?

Frankly, I don't know what to think of it. For now, it's in my " " file.

George isn't the frame a repro?
I remember (I had one) that the giveaway was the thicker/squashed portion of the beading on the top arm right center...

Maybe it's the same guy that soldered the other EK2 core in upside down? At leats he got this one in right side up?
