    Nice Zimmermann EKI, cased...

    Hi,

I just picked up my first '20' Zimmermann EKI. It's a beautifully toned piece with highly polished pin on reverse. I can see why others like this maker's cross so well now.

Nice one again Robert!!! You keep out-doing yourself.
Its hard to find a "20" in decent condition. Most i've seen
        have rusty cores. Congrats!!

Thanks. The Zimmermann's pin assembly is really well thought-out. It's very spring loaded, and would be hard to bend this pin without tearing the loops off of the tunic in doing so. It's really well made. The cross frames have the same gun-metal blue patina as does the pin - just perfect.

              Best,

              Nico,
I really haven't that many as you might guess. In the frenzy of buying the pieces I do have today, I have wound up with 75% being K&Q's, my favorite, mostly marked, but some unmarked. The unmarked have the exact finish as this Zimmermann. And others are in much better condition. And I do have some various L/ pieces to balance things.

Please don't ask how many EKII's I have. I'd have to clean my den to really find out how many are here.

What a beautiful cross, just the kind of thing i'm currently searching for
I have one unmarked EKI & a marked screwback, now i just need a cased & marked cross.
I too would love to see a picture of your colection.
                  Ant.

Alright, but it will have to be later after I get everything sorted out. I'm inventorying everything right now, and still have two more in the mail coming to me... EKI's and II's.

OK, you guys. I finally got all of my EKII's into Riker mounts to display. I've got (83) EKII's, and still (2) coming. That's not nearly enough yet. You can never have too many.

As for my EKI's, they're all still deep in the boxes with other badges. When I receive the (3) that are coming, I'll dig them all out and show.

You guys put me to a lot of work yesterday.

                        Robert

                            Dear Robert,

I see someone has been spending that slush fund they set aside!!!

Very nice display. Since you are working at it I want to see the Spanges on one photo as well!

                            I am also PMing you.

Impressive collection Robert!!! Thanks for posting!!
If it were me, I would buy a nice display cabinet ( or a couple ). I use coin easels, which are perfect. Do you usually keep the EKII's boxed up like the other badges?
