Sorry, Bob, no disrespect to the Umlauff family.

Robert, I think you are not understanding. What they were making with that example was the "Next of Kin"or "Hinterbleibene" cross which was worn by the relative of a Legion Condor member who was killed in Spain. It was worn on a ribbon. It is also significantly smaller than the standard Spanish Cross (and is supposed to be)

You're right, Sal. I was not understanding. I had no idea a medal like this with a ribbon existed. Are there originals in our archives?

I believe there are Robert. They are very rare crosses as there were only 413 (i am going off memory there ) kia in Spain.

What a deal, Sal. I had no idea. Sorry for my ignorance. They're as rare, or rarer, that the original gold CCC's.

Nice NoK, SC Bob! Kind of neat how they applied the eagles separately on this type of cross.

Robert, the SC in silver without swords had an even lower # awarded at 327.

Amazing! Excellent! What a fine collection, sir.

I notice the absence of the 'drop tail' on the eagles. What a collection!
