A lovely 900 silver Meybauer Spanish Cross.

I have lost touch with these. What do the silver Meybauers fetch on today's market?

awesome example . . . she's a keeper! notice the smoothe cuts at the center between the swords on the reverse side . . . not jagged and nicely rounded and all is centered. That's what I look for in all SC's with swords

The catch and pin look a little odd to me. Also what happened with the swastikas? They look either crushed or if not something is definitly wrong if that is the way they came out of the die. Could you post some better pics of the catch and pin from better angles? Normally I wouldn't have any concern but there has been what I feel is a very good CEJ fake so now I am more cautious. The catch looks like it a bit in those pics anyway.

                      Best, Sal

Does the end of the pin look like it has been shortened? Meybauer pins are usually a bit longer.

Very fine cross. The best manufacturer IMO.

                            Jacques,

Did the Meybauer Spanish cross come in gold with swords and marked 900? I seem to have seen one and it was the first I had seen. My examples are the silver with swords.

                            Thank you,
                            Bob

Well I said I was being super cautious Jacques. You have to admit in those pics the catch looks "fat" and the long thin end to the classic meybaur pin looks short! That "cej" fake has me looking really close and being a bit paranoid now!
