    S&l Rk & Ek2

This RK & EK2 look like good S&L's to me. Opinions and concerns welcome.

is the RK magnetic? Please post a close up of the 3 o'clock arm.

                      I haven't learned RKs yet, but that's a great EK2!

Unfortunately this is the best I can do. This is a scanned image at the highest resolution knocked down to size to fit the 700 limitation.

Nice late A-Type pattern, as far as I can see

This is an interesting feature! Richard, do these extend further up the arm and are they located within the vally areas? Also, are they on the other side?

Hello Dave, I looked under a 10X microsope and this is what I see. The finish bubbles are on the upper 12 o'clock, lower 3 o'clock, and outer 9 o'clock of the obverse. Die flaws are seen at the outer 3 o'clock and 6 o'clock positions on front and reverse. The reverse does not show the "bubbles". The cross appears to be consistent with the documentation, an Oberleutnant who was awarded the infantry assault, the EK1, EK2, and close combat badge and was a tank killer on the Russian front. The award would have been late 1943.
