I recently purchased a number of dug WWII EK1's, and what I noticed on them is that many look as though they have a copper colour to them, on the backs, and even the pins. One has a copper colour under a peeling layer of silver plating. One pin has been broken, and I see that the center is also a copper colour. I really doubt that these are fakes, but i havent heard of copper being plated with silver to make EK1 frames... Any information would be greatly appreciated. I cant post photos on the forum, but you can contact me if you might be interested in seeing pictures. Also, would anyone happen to know where I might be able to find an original Ek1 core to complete a display? Thanks,
