war merit cross question

just purchased one on e-stand but i have a question regarding its wear.

was this decoration worn like other wehrmacht awards, as a medal on the uniform, or was it worn as a ribbon like the EKII and Ostmedaile?

It was awarded and worn in a very similar way to the EK. Is this the medal you have?

thanks for the photos Terry. not received yet so ill post more details on it when it arrived but its certainly the one with swords.

when this award was awarded to a frontline soldier how was it worn on the uniform when in comabt?

Was worn either as a ribbon in the buttonhole of the tunic just like an EK2 or on a ribbon bar (the ones on the left here)
