    1 piece zink made EK2

    Hi,
Found this EK2 which seems to be one piece zink made (non magnetic).
I hope one of you guys can give me more info about these?

    Thanks!!!

More than likely a post war piece, in my opinion. It matches the style of the 3 piece fakes in this form.

Not necessarily post war. I have this corroded one that's pre 45. Weird in any respect as it seems to have the so called Schickle shape.

                Stefan,
Do you think it's real?? Any further info to educate us, or trying to score a deal?

If I'm wrong, it'd be nice to know.

Try denting the edge with pressure from your thumb nail. They look much like the cast antimony alloy copies made by the old firm of Saxony House, of Mokena, Illinois. Phil Weber was the owner and he used original to make molds for his cast copies. Of course, they were sold for only a few dollars each as copies.

I don't think you will find these to be made of zinc, but of a softer antimony alloy.

                      Franco,

Is your Knight's Cross 1 piece or 3 piece?

I cant tell because of the way the edges have been finished.Sort of scuffed.I tried to get my dentist to x-ray it,but he pointed out that metal shows up as a white opaque area only.It needs to be scanned by one of those big magnetic machines.
                        Cheers Franco
