      Hello

That looks like an exceptionally nice, original Deumer made bar to the iron cross. Nice find.

      Regards

          Deumer Spange

Thank you for your opinions. I really like this on too. Now I just need the EK1 spange from Deumer. Wonder if anybody know the price range? and what to look out for, in the jungle of fakes.

          Regards

That is very nice EK2 Spange! For a Cased Spange to the EK1 in great condition I would say anywhere from $600 and up based on my observations.

            Happy Holidays,

Hi Karsten. You can find some pretty nice Deumer EK1 spanges in the 300-400 US range. Cased, you could almost double that amount.

                Hello

The Deumer bars to the 1st class Iron Cross do come up on the dealers sites from time to time. Based on UK / European prices I would say a reasonable price is around ******163;200 to ******163;250GBP. It all depends on condition.

Although there are some variations, the style of the eagles head and the 'square' cut to the tops of shoulders are indicators of a Deumer. Look also at the style of the claws, the shape of the numbers in the date box and the chest feathers and layout of them.

Here are a couple of scans of mine to give you something to compare to.

                Regards
                David

That is a very nice spange. You should not have any problems with that one. Top quality.
