Cased spange HELP Please

I just picked this up and until it is in hand it is all the pictures i have .
Can anyone tell me if i have been clever or stupid with regards to it being authentic . I know i have either just got lucky or ripped of...
Any help gratefully accepted.

Sorry to say so, but I would have passed on this one.

I don't like it a bit.
It lacks detail, odd catch, odd mm, the head looks not like I would expect and the case looks new as well.

If you do a search on the forum I know you will find some nice originals.

I hope you will be able to get out of this deal.

i agree..sorry stomper mate , the only reason i know is i am hoping to buy a cased one with outer carton by this maker and have been searching and looking at scans until my eyes were sore ! i hope you did not pay to much ?

Hmmm £55 but i have not payed for it yet, I may still pay for it as a filler until a good one comes along...
Not sure if i want to risk negative feedback by not paying , downside is , i received the pics after the auction ended.

Look at the paint on the case.
Look at the spange !
That is no German workmanship .

That price in itself is a dead give away mate. "Good" cased Spanges in this condition go for at least $650-$800 US.

That bit i knew , but sometimes real ones slip thrugh the net, we all hear about the lucky finds , was just hoping this was one of them such finds. not concerned though , still fills a hole until the real one comes along .

BTW .. as a rule of thumb ... if you see ANY Spange with a maker mark on the pin ... turn and run ... they did not mark them that way .. not pre-45 anyway .....

hi,i also saw this for sale but passed,the seller earlier on this year had a cracker for sale but it ended up getting if i can remember rightly around £400 she got it left to her,but she then went and bought this thinking it was going to get her the same i only know this because i emailed her and she said she got it from a gun show
