Opinions on this Knights Cross please

I have been offered this KC. I still am learning much about them and do not feel secure without getting good feedback from the experts on this forum. Please let me know what you think? Good or Not.

Thanks in advance for your opinions.

If you have been offered it as a repro, its good.. If offered as an original, it is bad.

No, it is not a good one, it's a really bad fake. There is a ton of reading out there to identify a real Junkers. I don't know what one would call this one, it has been around for a while.

That is a fake. The marking (2) is for Juncker. Genuine Juncker crosses do not look like this at all. This type of fake can be found with other markings and "aged" (faked patina). Remember the strong and crude rounding of the inner corners of this fake. There is a online company who sell these pieces as copys for any who might be interested. Some claim that these fakes are being made in Hungary.

I bought my copy to fill the missing place of the KC I can't afford by now. It is looking exactly as Yours.

TO PETER - According to the official seller of these they ARE being produced in Hungary.

Actualy, I think it is a nice filler though, three piece construction, fine silver and amrkings. I think it is one of the finest COPIES You can get.

Have a look at this thread it discusses my piece (same source as Yours):

The problem with post war S&L is that they are stillnot sold at post war price. I would love to have one but I wont pay a few thousand for a post war copy.

I paid $600 for this one and I was offered $4K by someone for it. But I refused because I want a cross to hold on to for a few years until I can afford a war time RK.

But the real nice think about postwar S&L RKs is it is a REAL RK just not wartime. Mine right there is an late 1945-to early 1948 RK beause of the "935". It kind of sucks having a barely postwar cross .

Not bad you paid a reasonable price. Id love to find one like it for my display. But your right its technically a real cross just no made during the war.

                            Fake Documents Too

Since the KC that I started this thread with seems to be a fake, I thought that I would post these pictures that the seller is also using to authenticate the cross. Anyone hear of similar faked doucments?
