    Question on a EK1 100?

This one is marked 100 on the underside of the pin. It is a little hard to see in the photos, but there is a clear lacquer coating on the back, hinge, pin, and on the front of the frame. Is that likely something that someone did to it to try to preserve it, or did they ever come that way from the maker? I have never seen that on one before, but I do not remember when, where, or from whom I got it.

    Thanks,
    Ron

Thanks. You are so fast.........makes me wonder, since your name is Indy, are you a race car driver ? I suppose if that is normal, that likely would suggest it really wasn't issued or worn.

          Hello,

I have got here another one where you clearly see the rest of the protection lacquer.
But I do not know what other manufacturer has been used that kind of protection as well. This depicted piece is a Godet cross.
