                Cased KC for sale

                Right............

I'm not "Blind" Bill.......Just call me "I'm lost" Bill

I'll blame it on being a Newbie. I HAD found the spot when I first was snooping around, but I guess that I'm losing brain cells faster than I thought.

I've left a message and an offer.

Thanks to all. I'm off to buy a COMPASS..............................

                Cheers

                  Found a KC !

Not as good as a NEUSILBER Juncker that a certain Gent has (I'm sorry that it didn't work out).........But I bought from Detlev-Niemann today, a S/L 800-marked KC awarded to Generalmajor Botho von Frantzius. KIA in Russia in 1942. His KC comes with the original ribbon for wear and various paperwork.
He was with Infanterie Regiment 176 when he was killed.

                  Cheers,

                  Bill

                      Hello

A very classy example of a highly desirable piece. Congratulations on a super buy.

I know everyone has their own personal opinion and taste when it comes to these, but I still feel that the good, original S&Ls, like the one shown here, are the best RKs around. As I say, just my opinion.

                      Regards
                      David

                                Ahem...... ......Since I'm here.......

The recipient of the KC that Dave has kindly shown, is Generalmajor Botho von Frantzius, of Infanterie Regiment 176.

Knights Cross awarded November 5, 1941 while an OBERST in Russia.
Killed in action March 14, 1942 near Nevel (north-west Russia).
                                Posthumously promoted to Generalmajor.
Generalmajor von Frantzius was 44 years old.
He joined the German Army (Dragoons) in 1916, and finished the Great War as a Leutnant. Became an Instructor with a Cavalry School in 1937, and quickly rose up through Officer ranks, until his death.

The KC comes with a copy photograph, and photocopies of his awards.

                                Many thanks to Dave......

                                Cheers

                                Bill
