Not to cast aspersions...it is a lovely group, but my point was that the Schickle frame dies were apparently used post war to make RKs in the same way that the SLs were. It has been established that SL and probably other makers made and sold TR versions of these awards after the war. So where do we draw the line? My 57 Schickle was probably made in the 60s...but what would these have looked like in 1947? What constitutes wartime vs postwar? An analysis a la SL would be interesting for these L/15s. This, coupled w/ a mint cross in the group of an officer who apparently served in the post war German military would cause a pucker factor for me, but that is just my opinion. Like I said, nice group...I really do like it

One had a completely unmarked frame and unmarked loop and the other one is the one I bought. Many KC recipiants served in the post war german military so that doesn't mean anything to me.
What about the dies of all other medals and badges?Last edited by Kevin V.; 06-17-2007, 02:51 PM.

Could you please explain me and others the reason why you have issues with the Otto Schickle KC marked 800 on the frame under the eyelet or marked 835 on the lower arm?
Thanks in advance
