Iron Cross 1st Class Spange - Is this a fake?

Hi, I am posting this question plus a few others for a friend. He purchased these medals recently but is concerned that he has fakes. I am no expert as I too am new to this hobby. I know all you experts will be able to tell ... I will be starting seperate treads for each medal, 4 in all. I want to say thank you in advance for your help. --- (2 of 4) This one is a Spange for the Iron Cross 1st Class, maker marked looks like L21 - whihc as far as we can tell is not a valid maker.

I think L/21 is regarded as 'maybe' a spange maker, but no real ones have surfaced.
Sadly this isn't a good one, and is definately known repro, as Tom said
This one has fooled hundreds of collectors in the past, so watch out, this is out there in the thousands!

I think this is the classic Floch-made one, isn't it?

Yes, it is a well spread Floch fake, in production since the early eighties.

I have one of the same fake, only mine is marked "L11."
