Is this IC2 real?

I just got this cross in the mail. It came on an Austrian tri-fold ribbon that is UV-negative. The silver is very tarnished, almost black as the center. There do not appear to be any markings on the ring.

Is it real?

Thanks for all your help and opinions. I was concerned because the cross had such a dark patina. I have removed the pictures because my web site cannot handle the traffic and keeps crashing.
