    K&Q knight's cross with recipiant!!

As on request of Johannes Post I am posting this Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross.
    Recipiant Hauptmann Klüser!!
This Cross is a textbook Klein & Quenzer example. Silver frame shows uniform dark age patina with the unique Klein & Quenzer thicker ribbon loop shaped much like a doughnut. Reverse upper frame is stamped, '800" with the suspension loop also marked "800" as well as the maker's mark, "65". Matte black finish on the Iron center shows virtually no age or wear to either obverse or reverse thanks to the removal of the upper tunic button which precluded wear to the reverse Cross.

    Sincerely kevin

          Kevin,
My favorite RK maker! However, what I like very much about your cross is how evenly developed the patina is.

I am the owner of the tunic and other medals of Ewald Kluser. I hope to have them in few days.
I will post photos as soon as possible.
This execellent cross belonged to Kluser that began the war as NCO and ended as Hauptmann fighting in France , Russia and the Ardennes.
He fought with 4 Pz Div as PzPioner and won the Dkig with that unit.Later transfered to 12 Volksgr. Div where he won the KC!!
I hope anyday join all group!
