How to tell repro Ek's from pre-1945's?

I am wondering how to tell repro EK's or EK2's from pre-1945's.
Any one know something about this? Please help me on this.

You will need to handle 5 or 6 originals of each and then read about them and look at photos.
Only then will you just have the basics of knowing what to look for.Be prepaired to make expensive mistakes.
This is no longer a forgiving hobby.
